Delivery costs will be calculated at checkout.

 

Parcels will be dispatched on the Monday following your purchase. Payment must be received no later than 4pm on a Sunday to be dispatched on the Monday. If the dispatch day falls on a public holiday, the plant will be dispatched on the next working day.

We deliver to most addresses in the UK (Scotland, England and Wales) but unfortunately due to plant export restrictions we do not deliver to Northern Ireland at present.

The following postage services are available at checkout:

• Royal Mail Tracked 24 (estimated next working day after dispatch)

• Royal Mail Tracked 48 (estimated 2-3 working days after dispatch)

Royal Mail advise that the following postcodes are excluded from their Tracked 48 delivery estimate and so we would advise purchasing the Tracked 24 option to ensure your plant arrives in the best condition: 

• BT, GY, HS, IM, JE, KW, PA60-75, PA78, PH30, PH41-44, ZE2 & ZE3

Tracking information will be supplied if you supply your email or mobile number. Royal Mail will be instructed to leave your parcel in a cool, shaded area at your address and not take it to a depot. Packaging states that live plants are enclosed.

Supplied with a UK Plant Passport. Please retain information for 3 years - Plant Health Regulations (PHR) applicable in the UK from December 2019.
 

Packaging will vary depending on the product ordered. We may change packaging depending on availability and suitability for specific products. The descriptions below are an indication of what you will receive.

Dahlia Plants Raised from Rooted Cuttings: Dispatched in a 7-9cm in eco-friendly packaging: bags - fully compostable & 100% biodegradable. Packaging boxes - produced from recycled PET material that has at least 90% recycled content or from cardboard (both are 100% recyclable). Packaging tape is made from paper. Please note: depending on the variety of Dahlia your plant raised from a rooted cutting is, it may require potting on until it is at the optimal size for planting out. The size of rooted cuttings vary because of variety and rate of growth so some are initially larger than others.

Dahlia Plants Raised from Tubers: Dispatched securely wrapped in a compostable and 100% biodegradable bag in a cardboard wrap and box (both are 100% recyclable.) Packaging tape is made from paper. Please note: height and growth of your plant will depend on the variety purchased.

Other Plants: Dispatched in a compostable bag, and in eco-friendly packaging: bags - fully compostable & 100% biodegradable. Packaging boxes - produced from recycled PET material that has at least 90% recycled content or from cardboard (both are 100% recyclable). Packaging tape is made from paper. Excess compost removed to ensure lowest postage costs.

Cut Flowers: Flowers for local delivery and face to face sales are in jars or wrapped in eco-friendly, bouquet wrap which is certified home compostable and compliant with UNI EN ISO 20200. This plastic-free wrap decomposes in soil within 28 days and is made from pine and eucalyptus fibres.
Dahlia small pot tubers: Grown in 7-9cm pots which are removed for posting. Please note: the size of small pot tubers will vary due to Dahlia variety. Small pot tubers will require protection from frost and cold or wet conditions. The pot tubers are posted wrapped securely in eco-friendly packaging: tissue paper, cardboard or packaging bags - fully compostable & 100% biodegradable. Packaging boxes - produced from recycled PET material that has at least 90% recycled content or from cardboard (both are 100% recyclable). Packaging tape is made from paper.
Bulbs: Dispatched in eco-friendly packaging. Compost free or most compost removed.
